John (Jack) E. Guy, Partner
Mr. Guy has over 30 years of banking, investing and financial experience including participation in over $10 billion of transactions. He specializes in leveraged lending, management buyouts, recapitalizations, financial restructurings and corporate re-financings.
Prior to joining Chatham, Mr. Guy headed up La Salle Business Credit's southeastern operation for a six year period as a Senior Vice President, where he developed and led a team comprised of nine professionals, sourcing and closing 68 transactions with total deal value nearing $2 billion. These transactions included senior secured, second lien, cash flow and subordinated debt often involving the negotiation and sales of warrant positions.
Prior to La Salle, Mr. Guy headed Mellon Business Credit’s Atlanta operation, overseeing the development and closing of 24 transactions with deal value of approximately $1.1 billion. Over his career, Mr. Guy has also held significant positions with GE Capital, Marine Midland (HSBC), Congress Financial (Wachovia) and Edge Financial as a Managing Director.
Mr. Guy received a BS in accounting from St. Francis University, Loretto, Pa. He has made presentations at various venues including industry conferences, panel discussions and seminars and has completed the Management Program at General Electric University. He is a board member of Education is Life, a not-for-profit organization providing academic tutoring for at-risk and underprivileged young men and women, enabling them to compete for college scholarships. Mr. Guy is also an active supporter of the Fragile Children’s Foundation of Georgia. |
