Barry Bekkedam
Barry R. Bekkedam is the founder and Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Ballamor Capital Management where he leads the research and investment management process. Mr. Bekkedam founded Ballamor Capital in 1998 and adopted the investment philosophy and approach to asset management of investing for steady, consistent results commensurate with the status of High Net Worth Individuals and large institutional accounts.
Mr. Bekkedam relocated from Canada to the United States during his high school years to enhance his education and to pursue his athletic interest in basketball. He achieved various basketball awards including selection to the prestigious McDonalds All-American Team. He went on to play basketball for Villanova University and then played for Canada in the Pan Am games, the World Championships, the World University Games and the 1988 Olympic Qualifier. After graduation, he played professional basketball internationally in Europe and South America.
Mr. Bekkedam began his investment career in commercial real estate in 1989, assembling a personal portfolio of buildings in multi-family, warehouse, office and self-storage.
Mr. Bekkedam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University. Mr. Bekkedam holds the Series 7 and Series 65 securities license.
